New Hot Water & Heating Upgrade Installed in Time for New Term
Loughborough CofE Primary School in Leicestershire, a one-form entry school with approximately 205 students, recently upgraded its hot water and heating system to ensure year-round comfort and hygiene across its classrooms and shared spaces. The new solution consists of two Evo S 120kW condensing boilers mounted on a frame kit with a low loss header, alongside a WaterMaster Evo 70kW gas-fired water heater.
In a school environment, maintaining a comfortable temperature and ensuring access to reliable hot water for handwashing, kitchens and hygiene areas is essential for both student and staff well-being and health. Needing a modern solution that would deliver consistent performance and improved energy efficiency, without disruption, the Evo S condensing boilers and WaterMaster Evo gas-fired water heater were chosen for their compact design and ease of integration. Additionally, the WaterMaster’s high recovery rate ensures a reliable supply of hot water, even during peak demand.
The system was installed by Ashwell Maintenance within the school’s existing plant room at the front of the building. This allowed for a smooth upgrade with minimal interference to the school’s day-to-day operations. Thanks to the simple configuration and intuitive design of the units, commissioning was completed quickly, and the system was fully operational in time for the start of the new school term.
Charlie Swift, Ashwell Maintenance comments:
“The new appliances are essentially turn-key in terms of commissioning and operation. Their straightforward design meant we could complete the works efficiently and deliver a reliable system, ready for the start of term.”
Loughborough CofE Primary School now benefits from a modern, energy-efficient system that is designed for long-term performance. Expected benefits include reduced energy consumption, lower maintenance requirements and consistent hot water delivery for years to come.
